Lamhacan

Lamhacan is a animalistic contemporary sculpture inspired by one of the great transitions in the history of life: the first conquest of land. For millions of years the continents remained empty. Then something changed. A creature hauled itself, crawled (lamhacan in irish) from the cold water into a world for which its body was not yet prepared. Weight shifted. Movement became struggle. Survival demanded transformation. Formed as a statement sculpture, Evolution captures that threshold between water and land, its shape seemingly caught between two worlds. The first steps were small enough to disappear into deep time, but everything that followed began there.
