Further Information
Each discovery is a unique physical work. Forms, themes and series may reappear across various collections.
The discoveries are made of bog wood which is between 400 and 4,000, perhaps 5,000 years old - Ireland's bogs are ancient. Radio carbon dating is planned but for now the estimates are based on records of the bogland the wood is found. The wood is carefully curated - scraped, cleaned and reinforced and the finished pieces are intended for display only.
